We saw a lot of animal rear ends on this trip!

The Fort Worth Zoo offers Homeschool Day twice a year.  We have been once before, but it has been several years and so we thought that we would splurge--and I do mean splurge.  It still wasn't cheap!  We had hopes that Brent would be able to come too, but that didn't pan out.  For as cool as everyone says that zoo is, I think that it is highly over-rated.  The Dallas Zoo has made some major improvements over the last several years, and I think that I prefer it.  Plus it is immeasurably closer.  We did get to see a few of the animals up close and in person, and I have to say that my personal favorite was the showgirl chicken.  I will have to add a picture of it later.  The penguin was pretty cute too.  The most amazing thing was the amount of little known facts that Allison has stored away.  Who knew!?
