I can do it myself!
Dryden is growing right up! He is becoming quite independent as you can see. His only problem is getting out of the crib in the morning. He isn't quite tall enough to climb out himself. Thus, he enlists the 4 year old's assistance. I'm not quite sure how he manages. I'm not quite sure I want to know how he manages that feet!
We do have all three boys in the same room now. I wasn't sure that it was going to work out, but they all seem to be getting along quite well after the first week. Dryden was quite displeased about the new sleeping arrangements for the first couple of days, but he has quickly learned that it has its advantages. He now has a captive audience if he ever needs anything. All he has to do is yell loud enough to get either Braden or Camden's attention. And, he has a whole new selection of toys to take to bed with him. He refuses to go to bed at night without some sort of electronic device whether it be buzz light year's blaster or a cell phone. He must have something that makes noise and preferably lights up too. Quite amusing.
Dryden has also doubled his vocabulary in the last week. He now not only says Bite (or something relatively close to that) and his new word is "HOT!" which he proclaims at the top of his lungs in a continuous stream until the pot is covered or the oven door is closed. He is a lot more adamant about the word too since he didn't listen to the sage advice of his mother to stay away from the oven door. It was a very minor burn...so minor that I couldn't even find it, but it served its purpose.
I must admit that Dryden has in the past said mama, dada and no no no (while shaking his finger). However, these words are rarely repeated. He definitely is the strong silent type who has developed a sort of sign language all his own that we, as his family, are quite adept at interpreting--especially the loud piercing scream which is generally followed by either Mom or Dad proclaiming loudly throughout the house, "Give the kid whatever it is that he wants!!!"
What can we say....we love the little guy, and he makes us all very happy!
