Grandma and Picnics

Grandma came to visit (thankfully!) I don't know what we would have done without her for the last two weeks.  She was a lifesaver.  Everything just runs so much more smoothly when she is around!  Now Grandma doesn't have much of her own at our house.  Simply because no adult has much of their own at our house.  It has all been previously claimed by one child or another!  This rocking chair, however, is GRANDMA'S.  It is her appointed seat while she is here, and although the proclaimed rule is no one sits there but Grandma...the underlying rule is you may sit there as long as Grandma is no where in site.  I of course am the rule maker and enforcer...except against this little man who has his own set of rules by which he lives which can be summed up in the motto: "If I want it, it is mine!"  Unfortunately for Grandma this happened to extend to her chair for a while.  And see that little mischievous face of his!  The expression is simply, "What are you waiting for, Grandma?"

We love Texas in the springtime.  Even though the trees and flowers and grass have yet to bud it is still warm enough to have picnics in the backyard!  Plus it saves me a lot of cleanup.  It is wonderful.
