When I took this picture yesterday, I simply thought how sweet and loving my little guy is. Even in his sleep he is trying to tell everyone how much he loves them. Little did I know that the poor little guy was really hurt! Not too long before this Camden was standing on a bar stool in the living room--don't ask why because I don't know--and somehow fell off of it and landed on his head. He jumped up crying and came running to me. I made sure that everything moved and since he already needed a nap let him go to sleep. He slept for about an hour and a half. When he woke up he was whimpering and crying about his head and neck. That wasn't good, but it got even worse. He started to throw up. Off to the ER we went. The bad thing is that our hospital of choice is FOREVER away and it was nearing rush hour. Not a good combination. Thankfully we made it there in not too bad of shape. Camden didn't even spill the contents of his throw up bowl while I was driving on the shoulder of the very backed up freeway! The scary thing was that in the ER there was another little kid who had been jumping on the bed and fell off and had some swelling in the brain and was being taken in for surgery. We were very blessed that Camden was alright, and I was very very thankful that our sweet babysitter dropped her evening plans and came rushing over to watch the rest of the kids because as all ER visits, they aren't short! After x-rays and cat scans and laying around in the hospital bed (which thankfully I was able to do or else I wouldn't have been able to have stayed) for hours, we could tell that Camden was feeling much better. And we were able to come home last night.
Poor little Camden! I'm so glad he's okay! I was so worried- all of us were. But that little guy is a trooper, for sure. And not to mention, SOOOO adorable and sweet.
ReplyDeleteNow you need to worry about yourself! You'd better not do another thing until baby #5 comes. You call me or someone else, but whatever you do, YOU don't do anything!!!!!
oh....my.....gosh......
ReplyDeleteI'm glad he's okay, and I don't know how you physically did all that. Adrenaline is a wonderful thing!
Wow, Shauna. I'm glad he is ok. That must have been scarey. I've heard you are really struggling right now with your back and everything so I'm amazed that you were able to take all of that on. I guess you do what you have to do. I'm glad I found your blog and can keep up on all the things you guys are doing. Your trip to Colorado sounded fun and hilarious. Braden makes me laugh. What a cutie!
