Allison's 10th Birthday!

I can't believe that my little girl is 10! Where has the time gone? We had a pretty calm and relaxed day--not too hard to do around here these days! Allison's excitement for the day was getting her stitches out. Her lip is healing nicely and hopefully she won't even have a scar! We had a small impromptu birthday party with a couple of out of town friends at the beginning of the month. My hope is that two half-birthdays makes for one complete whole birthday!

Savanna even made Allison's Birthday pie for her! And after her favorite meal of stroganoff, she opened her presents quickly and then the three older kids all rushed off to Karate class. They have their belt tests coming up on Wednesday, so they needed to get in this one last practice before that!

Allison was quite surprised by the Matryoshka nesting dolls. It is amazing what you can get on ebay! They even came from Russia, so she was really happy. Allison made everyone feel like they had thought of the perfect presents for her. Braden gave her a sketching set and Savanna gave her some books, and Allison made them both feel like their present was the best thing on earth. It was very kind and sweet.

And, Grandpa Lee never forgets the other kids. They were all super excited that they got a present too. Even "Marshmallow Bum" here was super happy that he got "4 dollars!" Brent has nicknamed Camden that because he always is running around in just underwear and it is always on backwards! Every time you call him that he responds with "I not Marshmallow Bum! I Camden!" and his little voice is so funny and cute when he says it.

Well, time to get breakfast for the family and start another routine day of school work, piano lessons, doctor appointment and ballet lessons.
