Baby Blessing

Dryden is truly a blessing to have in our home. Despite the colic and the very long nights I can't imagine our lives before him or without him. I sincerely hope that I won't take one moment for granted. Since he is the last one, I am going to enjoy every minute that I can. He definitely will be a baby who is held too much, but I know that I will look back to these sleepless nights with tenderness. Even now as I hold my sleeping baby while I type I treasure these quiet moments.

Dryden was blessed on Sunday, October 11th, and it was a good thing too because his little blessing out fit wouldn't have fit him in another two weeks! My mom, Brent's dad, Grandma and Uncle Doug were all able to be there. Brent did an amazing job as it was the most wonderful blessing ever. It was definitely an emotional day for me as I realized that this was our last baby blessing. Brent even felt an emotional twinge.

Dryden did quite well through the blessing, but that was as far as he made it. I'm afraid that Dryden is already following in his brothers' footsteps in his early dislike for meetings. Even after a lengthy snack he wasn't content. It wasn't until we were in the car on the way home that he settled down. This certainly doesn't bode well for us!

  1. Awww, I'm so bummed we missed it. I'm sure my dad filled you in on our plight to get our recommends fixed before we headed up here for Ben's sister's wedding. 3rd time's a charm we hope! They think the barcodes were duplicated in our Ward's book somehow....Anyway, sorry again we missed it, we had lunches packed and Sydney was so excited to see Allison and Savanna but alas, we never made it past our Stake Center's parking lot.... :(
