The kids had their second Karate tournament this last weekend. Brent took the older three while the two little boys and I went to pick up my Mom from the airport. Grandma and I tried to rush up to the tournament and ended up getting stuck in a horrific traffic jam which caused us to miss the kids performing their kata's. They all performed very well and Allison and Savanna each came in 1st and Braden came in 3rd. We did arrive in time to see all three spar. Braden was feeling a little timid until he caught on to me yelling at him to kick. Once he got his feet moving he did awesome and came in 1st. The girls both easily wiped the floor with their competitors and each took first in their divisions as well.
The best part about the pizza tournament is that everyone is treated to pizza at Cici's Pizza afterwards. Truly a treat for the kids and cause for fear and trembling for Brent and me. We always end up sick after we eat this pizza. We stuck to the salad mostly this time and fared pretty well. Dryden even discovered the joy of pizza and had his fill as well.
