Allison loves to be right, and she generally is. She has an insatiable thirst for knowledge, and it is amazing the things that she remembers. For instance, we were learning about the Civil War. Allison wanted to know if Dad owned a Buffalo gun. I honestly didn't (and still probably don't) have any idea what a Buffalo gun is. When Brent and I were talking about it Brent said that it was one caliber of a gun and Allison was positive it was another caliber. Can you guess who was right?
Speaking of Allison's very sharp mind, we have been studying logic this year. They are those mind puzzles of Ann lives on the fourth floor and Joe lives on the eighth floor. From this information what is the name of the dog that lives on the first floor? These are not my forte, and I have to sit there and figure them out right along with the girls. Anyway, to make a long story short, Allison has had to explain a couple of them to me!
